WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) today welcomed Laura Maloney as his new Press Secretary. Maloney previously served as Communications Director for Rep. Elizabeth Esty (CT-5).
“Laura is exactly the kind of person I want on my team as I work to expand opportunities for Connecticut families. She is passionate about our state and our people, she works hard, and she has the experience and track record to hit the ground running,” Murphy said. “She did amazing work for my friend Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty in the Fifth District, and I’m proud to welcome her to my staff.”
“I’m excited to join Senator Murphy’s team and continue working for Connecticut families,” said Maloney.
Maloney holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Colby College.
