U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., will speak Thursday to the Y's Men of Westport/Weston.
The meeting will take place in the Unitarian Church, 10 Lyons Plains Road. Coffee and doughnuts will be served starting at 9:45 a.m. and Murphy's talk will begin at 10:30.
Murphy has served two years in the Senate, winning election to his seat in 2012. In his remarks to the Y's Men, he is expected to review current issues before the federal legislative body.
He is a graduate of Williams College and the University of Connecticut Law School in Hartford.
Prior to his election to the Senate, Murphy served eight years in the state General Assembly and three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the 5th Congressional District.
In the Senate, Murphy serves on the Appropriations Committee, the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, and the Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee.
