The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) offers disaster assistance to qualifying cities, towns, and individuals requiring financial assistance after a Presidential declared disaster. FEMA is also the agency responsible for Flood Risk Analysis and Mapping, which is used for flood insurance purposes.
